About Lumen Sudoku
A good sudoku is never solved by trial and error. Our grids are generated and then verified: each one has a single solution reachable by deduction, whatever level you pick.
The interface offers a notes mode, highlighting for matching digits, and an optional error indicator — which purists can switch off to get paper conditions back.
How to play
- Select an empty square, then type a digit from 1 to 9.
- Press N to switch to notes mode and pencil in candidates.
- A row, a column and a 3×3 box can each hold a digit only once.
- The grid is done when all 81 squares are filled without conflict.

Three ways to get better
- Start with the digits that appear most often — they constrain the most squares.
- Look for a box where a digit has only one possible home before pencilling everywhere.
- On hard grids, a pair noted in two squares removes that digit from the rest of the line.
