About Merge 2048
Merge 2048 is a space-management game dressed as arithmetic. Every move slides all the tiles as a block; identical tiles that meet merge into one of double the value. A new tile appears after each move, and the game ends when no move is left.
Our version shows the points gained on each merge and keeps the previous board, so you can undo one mistake per run — enough to learn from, not enough to cheat with.
How to play
- Use the arrow keys, or swipe, to push every tile at once.
- Two tiles of the same value that collide merge into one of double the value.
- A new 2 or 4 appears after every valid move.
- Reach 2048 to win — then carry on for 4096 if you like.

Three ways to get better
- Pick a corner and never let your largest tile leave it.
- Ban one direction — usually up — for the whole run.
- Build a descending row along one edge: 256, 128, 64, 32…
