What bubble shooter actually asks of you
A bubble shooter looks like a matching game and plays like a demolition game. Popping three bubbles is worth almost nothing on its own; detaching the twenty bubbles that were only attached through them is worth the run. Good play means looking at what is holding the cluster up rather than at what colours are adjacent.
The ceiling drops on a timer of shots rather than seconds, so there is no penalty for aiming carefully and a heavy penalty for firing to see what happens. Every wasted shot is both a bubble added in a place you did not choose and a row closer to the bottom. This is the one family here where doing nothing is genuinely better than doing something poorly.
Bank shots off the side walls are not a flourish. They are how you reach the anchor bubbles at the top edges, which are exactly the ones holding the largest clusters. Learning to aim at the wall rather than at the target is the single technique that changes a player's results.
